About Our Contest
We are a community-based organization that host the annual Lydgate Brass Band Contest. We're a part of the Saddleworth Whit Friday celebrations, with brass bands travelling from across the world to perform here in Lydgate. In 2026, we celebrated our 50 year anniversary from our first contest in 1975!
