About Our Contest
We are a community-based organization that host the annual Lydgate Brass Band Contest. We're a part of the Saddleworth Whit Friday celebrations, with brass bands travelling from across the world to perform here in Lydgate. In 2026, we hosted a record-breaking 81 bands!
